  The office last night. S T E A M Y Waited 3½ hrs for the storms to pass, then an ASAP setup. Normally 20-30k ppl at this event, but almost nobody there until much later, closer to the fireworks. Still fun, even though the gear got damp in the subsequent fog!

We used to have them until they got really expensive, so expensive that we started to just make wooden sticks with graphite inside them and then mash up some of the wood into sheets and then used them two together to create photographs without the use of any other devices.

  Yesterday I learned that if you want to edit a custom format e.g. cinematic/spatial video in final cut, you have to be very specific about how you import it. I typically AirDrop them from the phone, but I couldn't figure out how to pull up the cinematic editor. Apple's documentation is shit, and the only reason I figured it out is because ChatGPT sent me to a Reddit thread where someone linked to a Ripple Training video from 3-4yrs ago that had a small section about this.
