Lawn culture represents a mindset of control, consumption, and individualism. Lawns reflect not only questions about sustainability and creation care, but they also raise issues about wealth and human dignity and the use of resources that could benefit the common good. https://uscatholic.org/articles/202604/a-catholic-case-against-lawns/ #permaculture #progressive #gardening #resistance

Getting out of vehicle with phone in hand, decided to reach back for my water bottle dropping my brand new Furilabs FL1Xs causing a large crack. Hoping @furilabs will send/sell me replacement screen. Overall the phone has been a so-so experience. I enjoy being on Linux but have had some real annoyances I wasnt expecting which may lead me to getting a different daily use phone. Bluetooth has been really hit or miss. Cucumbers! So excited there's so many of them too. Was worried cause the random metal wire I used is a bit small openings for them. Next season Ill definitely use a bigger trellis for the cucumbers. #Florida #gardening #Permaculture #Vegetables #Vegetarian #MutualAid #FoodSecurity

As I watch a vacant lot two houses down from us get clear cut it fills me with such sadness. Here in Florida we are in a drought. There's a burn ban at the moment. I had the random thought but think it would be really smart policy: Burn Ban should be extended to place a hold on ALL clear cutting, paving, and tree removal. As long as we're in a drought and heat wave there is no justification for exacerbating the situation. #Florida #HeatWave #ClimateChange #PublicPolicy #UrbanP...
