As I watch a vacant lot two houses down from us get clear cut it fills me with such sadness. Here in Florida we are in a drought. There's a burn ban at the moment. I had the random thought but think it would be really smart policy: Burn Ban should be extended to place a hold on ALL clear cutting, paving, and tree removal.
