  I’ve taken to never auto-renewing anything. If it’s a subscription I’ll buy for a year and then immediately go in and cancel at the end of the term.   RE: https://mastodon.social/@savetheAI/116540421933003879 This was always the obvious outcome. AI is deeply inefficient since it's brute-forcing every output. Lots of folks aren't seeing that, though, because AI is so deeply subsidized you're only paying ~5% of the actual cost of tokens.

  Anyone else noticing the energy around AI has shifted dramatically in the last 2 weeks from big tech execs? Everyone is shifting goal-posts away from LLMs, working to remove AI from their branding and pitches. Lots of folks are distancing themselves. Feels like some shit is about to go down with a frontier model builder.
