Oh my goodness. I literally just lost years off my life. I was happily sitting outside and realized I suddenly smelled wet earth. It's raining! I quickly folded up my chair and brought it inside. But wait, the umbrella on the back patio is still up. I have to run out there and close it. So I did and got soaked. No big deal to me. But my iPhone was in my left pocket bottom end up. I come inside, change clothing and suddenly my phone sounds like a bad kazoo. Oh noooo I think to myself, it'...

Question for any of my #Blind friends who might use the #WeatherOffice app on #iOS. Can anyone give me any hints as to how one enables notifications within this app? As so far such is eluding me.

I could literally cry right this minute. I tell you I could live to be a million years old and I will never, ever, never get past the wonder of discovering #Braille on something. I purchased this product just because I was seeking a sunscreen for the face. I had no idea that when it came its outer packaging would feature #Braille on it. It says Anthelios 60 on it. Thank you #LaRoche-Posay! #AccessiblePackaging #Braille La Roche-Posay Anthelios Light Fluid Facial Sunscreen SPF 60, Lightweight S...

I just received the email about #DiscoverCard’s transition to being fully integrated into #CapitalOne, including account management through the Capital One app. So I called to ask whether they planned to continue offering the Discover card design that features all account information in #Braille on the face of the card. I was assured by an agent, who genuinely seemed knowledgeable about the transition, that they would. Of course, I’ll be monitoring things closely, but it was heartening to hear...

Question for any of my #Blind friends who might know. I might be buying a new Thermostat. I've learned that the newer Honeywell units are using the Honeywell First Alert App for iOS as the Resideo app is being phased out. Thus, my question is has anyone used this First Alert app with #VoiceOver on #iOS and how did you find it in terms of #Accessibility and usability?

How do I say this without stirring up trouble. If many groups are all doing the same sorts of fund-raising projects, how do they expect to motivate participation or purchases therein? I've always wondered why they don't try to differentiate their offerings a bit more. But then again being the daughter of a man who made his living in advertising and sales I'm no one's demographic because I’m not easily moved by such. Realistically, how many of the same sorts of shi...

So I read: "The United States Senate unanimously passed a resolution declaring April 22, 2026, National Assistive Technology Awareness Day." Am I the only one who thinks why that day? Why not the 23rd when it wouldn't be overshadowed by #EarthDay. Is it just me?

Re: Last boosted post about ADT having a data breach. It is a bit unsettling when a company dedicated to securing homes and businesses itself has a breach of data. Oh my.

I love the thought of warmer weather but hate the thought of how dry sun screen makes my skin feel and how strongly even the lightest scented ones can be.

So, in today's episode of isn't that special, my Amazon.com deliveries of which there were supposedly 2 say package delivered handed directly to a resident. So, was that to my invisible clone? Because guess who it was not actually handed to and guess what there are no pictures documenting this delivery. Isn't this fun?

If I'd remembered that Wednesday is now lawn care day I'd not have scheduled groceries to be delivered. Dear Lord let them be done my house but the time I have to go outside and await the arrival of Mr. Instacart shopper. This equipment is sooooo very awfully loud.

I wholeheartedly agree. everyone's gifts and contributions should be able to make room for them. No need for cutting others down and back biting. If something isn't to your liking just keep it moving and use what's best for yourself. Just my 2 cents no one asked for but there we are.

I'm minding my business putting away groceries and other items that just arrived at my house. These included some of the new #Tide Evo laundry detergent products. So as is often my custom with new items I scan it with #SeeingAI and other assorted apps and it's reading me what it can find on the packaging. And I think to myself, did I just hear it say #NaviLens? No I couldn't have. But wait, yes, yes, I surely did because #VDScan just said it too. So I fire up the #NaviLen...

Yay I got groceries and almost everything came as expected with one substitution. Now I can hide inside until the severe weather passes. I pray it stays away from me. The sunshines today but no sitting outside and communing with nature as it's too chilly and the winds are too high for it to be enjoyable. And none of that did anyone need to know. Ah well.

So strange I went to reply to 2 different posts in a conversation and both times I wasn't allowed to do so. How sad. Ah well. I'll keep my thoughts to myself. They weren't that important that the world couldn't do without them anyway.

One of the interesting things about the era in which I grew up is that parents hesitated to allow their children to be ascribed with "labels" especially in school because they didn't want others to define their children by them nor did they want their children to define themselves by such. Whereas today it seems that many embrace such clasifications and categorizations as though they're badges of honor or the whole of their identity. #RamdomMusing

I hate that I'm having an issue sending to 2 addresses from my #Fastmail account. But I love the fact that I've had an on going dialogue with #FastmailSupport for the past 2 days and haven't gone a day without receiving a reply from them. Here's hoping they can help me get to the bottom of the issue and resolve it.

Ooh the unbridled hatred I feel towards #AdobeAcrobat literally knows no bounds. It keeps putting its Adobe document Cloud for Outlook add-in into my Outlook and Outlook hates it. No matter how many times I remove it it comes back. It makes me want to remove Adobe Acrobat completely. I'm wondering if there'll be any downside to doing so from a #Blind user's perspective?
