  Am @hackmas kümmere ich mich neben der Logistik, Möbeln, Müll und was sonst noch dazu gehört auch um Deko. Aber wir können gar nicht so viel Deko machen, dass wir das Schloss und den riesigen Innenhof füllen. Ich würde mich sehr freuen wenn da von euch noch mehr Kunst und andere Installationen kommen.   Das größte Problem an Verteilersteckern ist ja, dass sie diskret sind. Zum Glück haben kluge Köpfe in Japan das Problem erkannt und eine Lösung gefunden, also zumindest für japanische Stecker. Ich präsentiere: die kontinuierliche Verteilerleiste!

  By the way, to get up to the observatory, you can use the cable car. Beautiful view of Sapporo on the way up and now in spring you see the vegetation change as you go up. #BigInJapan

  Gibt es im Fediverse Leute, die bei Prusa arbeiten? Wir haben von @c3tactile eine Anfrage geschickt, aber bisher keine Antwort erhalten. Und nachdem der #39c3 schon vor der Tür steht, wäre es gut zumindest irgendwie den Status unserer Anfrage raus zu finden. Are there people here in the Fediverse who are working at Prusa? As c3tactile we sent them an inquiry but haven't heard anything back in a while. As 39c3 is happening soon, it would be good to know what the status of our inquiry is.

  Skyscrapers and sunsets are a perfect combination. So today we went up Lotte World Tower and watched the sunset from nearly 500m above ground. Amazing views even though they could wash the windows more often. Fun fact: this was the highest I've been inside a building, surpassing Taipei 101 by nearly 40m. Looking down on an observation tower that's on a mountain is... weird. And we've been now on the world's sixth and eleventh highest buildings within a few days....

  Things that Vienna and Kaohsiung have in common? Both cities have the same metro train type. The ones for Kaohsiung were even built in Vienna! So far there's only 2 lines plus a tramway ring around the city. The transfer station "Formosa Boulevard" has an amazing installation called "Dome of Light". #TripToTaiwan

  The last two evenings in Kaohsiung I heard some weird music everywhere. Turns out, it's the garbage trucks.   So Kaohsiung also has a tram or LRT with a special feature! The tram runs without any overhead wire between the stations. Instead it charges its supercaps in each station and runs on the stored energy. At least this makes the tracks look really neat without adding a lot of visual clutter. I wonder how smooth this system is in operation though. #TripToTaiwan

  Hungry for electronics? Taipei has got you covered! Not too far from Taipei main station there's Guang Hua Digital Plaza for all the computer components and consumer electronics. On 6 floors, there's everything from fancy stores selling brand hardware up to repair shops and ones selling electronic components. #TripToTaiwan

  If it looks like a Shinkansen and sounds like a Shinkansen it probably is a Shinkansen? The Taiwan HSR (High speed rail) has been operating between Taipei in the north and Kaohsiung in the south since 2007. And it uses Shinkansen 700 series rolling stock with small modifications for the Taiwanese climate and a slight speed increase. #TripToTaiwan

  Unfortunately we have to change plans as there's a lot of rain incoming. This freed up this morning so we went a bit north to the coast and visited an interesting relic from the sixties. In Wanli a handful of "futuro houses" were built and abandoned in the eighties. Today they are rotting slowly away, but still looking kinda futuristic.
