  Having sat with the AI For All strategy for a week: 1. this is just a too-clever-by-half nightmare in sans-serif; and 2. how in tarnation can any government get it so backwards, at an "I guess wet streets cause rain?" level, to frame a central problem as a widespread lack of trust by citizens rather than a widespread lack of trustworthiness by tech companies?

  ok having now read Canada's national AI strategy doc, I note that the word "trust" appears 44 times in 50 pages, but "we will devote the considerable resources of the state to making an example of a rich sociopath or two" as one path towards increased trust appears no times (perhaps that's tactics not strategy? I dunno I'm not a government guy)

  Reading an e-book and suddenly wondering why the table of contents is at the “start” and the index is at the “end” instead of being dedicated zones of the UI entirely outside the flow. (Oh, right, because Amazon bought every single promising e-book upstart 10+ years ago and doesn’t care, and the lone person Apple has had working on Books.app has only so many hours in the day, right, I forgot).
