> Lost & Found is an adventure-mystery game where you return townsfolk’s lost belongings & uncover personal stories behind each item. It features a hybrid animation style that blends 2D, 3D, pixel art, & more. Gather clues, investigate locals, & ensure every lost belonging ends up in the right hands. I love how this looks, also hello this too is set in the mid/late 2000s and is about a laid-off artist having to go back home, what is the universe trying to...

Thank you @hi_cial for the heads up that Namecheap "has obliterated the work of over 300 Gaza journalists murdered by Israel. The mass deletion has led to accusations that Israel is trying to wipe out records of its countless crimes in Gaza." Transferred all my domains to Porkbun because wtaf Web hosting company deletes archive of 300+ murdered Gaza journalists’ work https://www.thecanary.co/skwawkbox/2026/01/03/namecheap-gaza/

> Each zine was part of this larger project, a communal push to create a scrappy literary scene of our own. To build a space with our own rules of reciprocity, care, and enthusiasm. This experience, of writing for an audience of a few hundred people fostered in me a love of writing for its own sake. I was reminded today of the way we Olde Ones used to get fansubbed anime in the mail. You'd have to find a distro online and mail them some blank VHS tapes plus cash for shipping back, and usually (if it wasn't a scam or got lost in the mail) you'd get your tapes back months later with some fansubbed anime recorded on them Some distros wouldn't require you to mail blank VHSes, they'd send you their own. Perhaps most memorably, Kodocha Fansubs would send y...

I was real worried because we had like a week of overcast and/or rainy days immediately after repotting the Venus flytrap (ie when it was at its most vulnerable). It turned really dark and its leaves and traps were starting to wilt. I thought this might be it for the poor fellow... but then!! Like the sun bursting through the clouds, it shot out a defiant fist towards the heavens!! "I live, damn you, I LIVE!!" #Bloomscrolling

"We’ve been a little bit too romantic about the idea that we should have employees and give people long-term job security" reads like something from the Onion satirizing how CEOs are out of fuckin touch, not what an uwu indie darling (with a history of pawahara and union-busting) should be saying on the record 'We've been a little bit too romantic:' Ustwo CEO says lowering development costs is now paramount https://www.gamedeveloper.com/business/-we-ve...

Hey so if you're the kind of person who cares about this kind of thing, Bubbles.town's labeling is being done with AI, which I suspect means that it's been fed the text of your blogs regardless of what your robots.txt/ai.txt says I was excited about this project until I learned this. The site does not disclose that AI was used, I had to go digging through the dev's replies to find this. It's really disappointing to see for something purporting to be for t...

idk who needs to hear this but scrcpy is a really easy way to mirror your (Android) phone to your computer, which is great for me because I have some mobile-only apps where I want to type a lot of stuff (Bookmory, etc) but don't want to type using my fat thumbs. So I plug it into my computer and use my keyboard to type in book notes 👍 https://github.com/Genymobile/scrcpy

Just like their previous AI update, it is technically opt-in (you have to configure an AI service before the features actually work), BUT there is no way to disable UI elements like the "Discuss selected books with AI" menu item. The official reply is to "simply ignore them." Why bake this AI shit directly into the program?? Why not let AI losers make their own shitty plugin if they need an algorithm to tell them what books to read next ffs https://www.mobileread.com/forums/...
