well, seems like I can still drive this model printer pretty good, print came out looking nice, my technique for getting the plate off and scraped off into the wash tank still works without making a mess, and the stainless workbench I got is working nicely too. One thing I’m annoyed about is I forgot to get a glass jar to do wet cures in. Guess I’ll have to let these parts air dry (which should be easy since I’m using IPA instead of detergent now), then do a traditional cure. Definitely want to...

vidya game being busted probably isn’t the worst thing in the world (haven’t decided whether I’ll chase a refund or not), gives me more motivation to do things away from the pooter, or, do things on the pooter that support my off pooter activities. Need to finish up those thunderhawks tonight and get them printing I reckon.

dropped my exposure time from 2.1 to 2s but slightly bumped up some of the other wait times and the problem I now have is it's very hard to make out the slight release 'bounce' that the plate does from the webcam, overall that's probably good as it means less pulling forces on the print potentially stretching and warping them, but it does make it hard to tell visually whether I have adhesion or not

hmm, bluetooth audio seems fixed in kubuntu 26.04 as well. I was pleased my mouse was working properly but audio on top of it is a nice improvement.

I might go with HAP’s instead of cap’s simply because they have a built in switch, which might be useful in future if I run a single Ethernet back under the house to where the 3d printers are gonna live, or I can just bridge over the wifi since it’s all gonna be modern AC stuff anyway and there should be decent enough SNR to run wide channels and 5ghz to get good bandwidth

annnnd ordered the IPA and a spare empty 5L bottle, I'll need to get a decent sized funnel locally to transfer the dirty IPA from the wash station to the spare bottle though

well i've done most of the capsman configuration, though I really need to create a new vlan to use for capsman provisioning but ehhhhhhhh its a whole ass thing to setup a new vlan on the piece of shit dell switch and then trunk it through to the proxmox cluster and then reconfigure my chr vm with another interface and probably the most egregious thing of all of it is I need to make my mind up what vlanid to actually use

stainless workbench is setup downstairs and the resin printer and the wash/cure station are setup down there as well. Cant do much with it til next week when the resin and the IPA etc. all rock up but it's nice to start to turn that downstairs area into a working area. I think though I need to get a decent sized industrial fan to keep dust from settling (I've got a little mini greenhouse tent over it for the time being), and I should probably get a small leaf blower/vac so I can keep the...

WFH day this morning, making a choccy croissant in the air fryer while fixing my breakfast cereal was nice, I've got a little bit of a view out into wooloongabba from my kitchen window, though most of it is blocked by the giant shed they've built covering the new train station building site. A nice morning. Now I sit and drink my can of monster.

thinking I might just go another mars 5 ultra and save the few hundred bucks difference on the Saturn 4 16k, I’m realistically not gonna need the bigger bed size since I tend to only print smaller scale parts and big stuff I do on an FDM printer, plus I know the mars5ultra really well since that’s what I used to use back in Adelaide. I can save the difference and get a really nice stainless steel workbench to stick under the house and then the big issue I had working at my old place (enough room...

my first foray into using an air fryer has resulted in surplus BCB's, but I do at least appreciate that it's not a soggy mess. I can work with this.

when i do get that new set of speakers though I need to setup that sony pixy system (well, not quite, it was a set of separate upgrade components that sony made to match the pixy's but they were all standalone mini-components) in my workshop and then sort out some sort of room streaming system. something like the wiim pro will probably handle this well, I can run a pair of splitters on the output of my smsl su1 that's on my pc, run one leg to my sony qs amp and the other to one of the wi...

i've been through a long period of my life where i'd rather hold my tongue then get bogged down telling idiots they need to shut the fuck up, but now I'm circling back around to the opinion that I need to tell people they're full of horse shit and need to shut the fuck up more often
