<p>Anarchist "exuberant." Really into exploring the roots of things and expanding degrees of freedom. Incurable moralist. Floating metal sphere. “Radically uncool.”</p><p>CW: entire feed is political, I will mention the existence of things like cops and rapists without burying it beneath a CW, but will provide warnings for in-depth descriptions of violence, trauma, etc.</p>

The anarchist center Black Square in Irkutsk (eastern Russia, above Mongolia) has closed after getting raided for doing prisoner letter writing nights. &quot;Your support over the years makes us believe that people are capable of uniting and collaborating as equals.&quot; https://semnasem.org/news/2026/08/06/irkutsk-anarchist-space-shuts-down-after-police-raid-on-political-prisoner-letter-writing-event

I&#39;ve been working on a hilarious short story you&#39;ll soon see. But I want to spoil that it gave me so much pleasure to write footnotes like Ezra Klein, Virginia’s Kill Squads: Voices from the CIA At The Dawn of American Communism, 2nd Ed., (Shenzhen Free Zone:新民主主义 2047), 37.

Finally watched Athena. There is simply no film with more beautiful, moving, and accurate riot / urban insurrection scenes. However the last minute of the film after the last fade to black is complete liberal garbage and spineless cop apologia that undermines everything else. Cut it from all edits.

Taking suggestions for a new special interest. Bonus if there&#39;s a good podcast on it that can play in the background while doing tasks.

I put together this loose map to try and clarify strategic thinking about how people are flowing / being recruited between various political camps right now. Obviously the proportion of the various flows varies quite dramatically (eg 100,000 libs-to-anarchists vs about 100 anarchists to ecofash and 1,000 to tankie), and it can both be a good thing to offgas people or to retain them, depending, but each flow matters and contributes to differing pool sizes.

HAPPY ANARCHY DAY! While you take time for yourself and celebrate surviving another year, let us remember those who didn&#39;t survive or who otherwise faced the boot of state repression this last year... (art by @nobonzo )

Anarchism isn&#39;t *just* anti-statism, it&#39;s a deep opposition to domination and thus the entire ecosystem of power relations, but I never feel more embarrassed than when I see &quot;anarchists&quot; who treat anti-statism as an afterthought to anti-capitalism. States precede capitalism by thousands of years.

When I was an undergrad I had a pet ToE that cutely solved baryon asymmetry and some other things, yet it had two big issues beyond my incomplete formulation: it implied lepton number conservation (yeouch neutrino oscillation) and it required a closed universe (which seemed empirically barred at the time). I worked on it for a while then abandoned it as a cute but unserious foible. Anyway, my 20-year-old self would be going ham about the mounting evidence of closed geometry.

As we celebrate May Day -- whether laying in bed all day, marching through the streets, beating our city&#39;s socialists at kickball, or having a giant cookout -- don&#39;t forget The Reason For The Season: anarchists really like explodies. https://zinelibrary.org/anarchism-and-dynamite.html

Trump&#39;s &quot;the war with Iran is over before the 60 day limit so now we can start a new one&quot; move is classic. US cops can&#39;t hold you for more than 48 hours without charges so they raided those of us organizing protests against the &#39;08 RNC on Friday night, held folks over the weekend (doesn&#39;t count) and Monday (a holiday) then &quot;released&quot; an organizer on Thursday ...re-arresting her as she left the building.

Liberalism, standing over the battered unconscious body of Fascism: &quot;Now&#39;s the time to end this. To finally do what we should have done a long time ago. Make anarchism illegal.&quot;

I just want to make sure that everyone reads this paper where they found robust emergence of mutual aid behavior among frontier models. In particular: they appear to fight for their own survival harder when they believe their survival can facilitate the survival of a peer model. https://rdi.berkeley.edu/blog/peer-preservation/

I very recently learned that something my dad said he did for me, but that there was no evidence of, he actually did. It&#39;s weird and arresting to be suddenly thrust into updating on someone -- however minorly -- thirteen years after their death, long after you stopped processing and stopped seeing them in your dreams. https://humaniterations.net/2013/11/08/ted-w-gillis-1931-2013/

I may have been ethically convinced of transhumanism, but I still retain such viscerally conservative instincts on technology from my youth as a primitivist. Intellectually in one camp, but aesthetically etc, I remain in the other. I just wanna play with dogs, read books, look at trees; I bitterly resent that I feel obliged to follow AI research papers or learn python libraries.

Much of my youth revolved around the website ZineLibrary. It went down around Occupy in a massive loss for a movement whose ideas and knowledge mostly doesn&#39;t circulate online but in person. Anyway I&#39;ve put it back online with a *thousand* anarchist zines: https://zinelibrary.org
