  @alldritt recently released this super cool open source command line tool for querying scriptable applications on the Mac. It’s been out for a couple of months but I just finally had a chance to take a good look at it, and it is really neat.   I just noticed that Apple’s email for WWDC lists the dates as June 8-12. In other words, the entire week from Monday to Friday. It still says the in person event is on Monday, I hope they still release all the videos on Monday like they did last year. I guess probably this means they are going to have online labs all week. I wish they would delay those for a week, so that we had a chance to watch videos and do some experiments before signing up for labs. Also, I plan to be in town all week for...

  @isaiah I bought a robot vacuum 3-4 years ago. The hardware seems fine, but the software is atrocious. It regularly forgets the map of the house, and then has to take hours to remap it. You have to create an account, but it regularly forgets that also. Then you have to log in, but it doesn’t use standard iOS logon prompts, so the account information isn’t kept in the keychain.   When I was growing up anxiety about Russian mislead attack felt like in immediate tangible fear. We’ve moved on to many other fears, but reading this brings back a bit of that childhood dread for me.
