  One other thing that is kinda disturbing to watch recently is the response to https://oss-ai-policies.netlify.app/ and FOSS projects being more concerned about AI code quality than about the ethical side. Basically, "you are doing the right thing for your own reasons, and only my reasons are valid!". This divisive tribal shit will not end well.

  Remember that time in 2018 when @GIMP got a $100K donation from a Web3 startup through GNOME Foundation? I wonder how much of their Web3 tech got into GIMP, because of course that's how sponsorship works 😆 Anthropic is not a great company, some of their practices are outright vomit-inducing (remember the burning of books?). But there have been other corporate sponsors, and Blender hasn't succumbed to their will yet. I wonder why. Could there be *gasp* a policy against that?
