Our institution has subscribed to copilot, and it embeds itself in Office in such a way that whenever I open up a word document it automatically, pre-populates an AI summary of it without asking me whether I want that or not. And it seems Microsoft don&#39;t allow this to be an opt out for subscribing institutions, so your choice is either: a) have your autonomy to decide if and when and where you want to use AI (or not) removed from you, or b) have it removed entirely. nothing inb...

delighted to be in the unconditioned archives reading room today for 5 hours. Air conditioning is possible in the archives store to protect the documents but is apparently an impossible thing to achieve to protect humans.
