I think maybe the game plan going forward at work is that whenever someone in management talks about using AI, I'm going to reframe the conversation into terms of AI causing everyone to get raises "With all the added efficiency of this process we're basically guaranteed to get raises right?" Think we need to start utilizing misinformation to our benefit

Been a little bit since my last watercolor. A fun quick frog!

So my sister in law has received a week long residency in a fun little town to do printmaking and I've gotta say I am deeply jealous! Not the printmaking part, but just the opportunity to take time and just make some art? Need more of that in my life

It is incredible how my coworkers can sense when I plan on sneaking off to paint for the last part of the day and immediately message me to hop on a quick call

A lot of the times when my brain resists painting, it just takes a little push and off I go, but sometimes (today), I push through and do some painting and really don't feel like it. Good to know my brain isn't trying to deceive me *every* time ๐Ÿ˜…

I think I'm ready to consider the Miss Frizzle pin-up part of this piece done. Now I just need to be brave and do all the weathering and washes and stuff to really bring this thing into gaslands. A bit scary when you've done all this work! But I was already brave doing the patterns on the swim suit and they came out great so sometimes that's just what you gotta do ๐Ÿ˜† Also I added a quick Liz to the side! #MiniaturePainting #gaslands

Been sick and dealing with various real life nonsense all week! Finally feeling slightly better and rested enough to do something creative. I was trying to come up with a fun design for the roof of the gaslands school bus, and my always supportive and brilliant partner said "Miss Frizzle pin-up" (!!!) Sketching here in the style of Betty Grable before giving a crack at painting it in miniature! #gaslands

My return to magic has been heavy on nostalgia and viewing the world through a greater appreciation for the art, so this feels like an appropriate project. Turning a Revised swamp from my original collection into full art alter. Ways to go, but having fun. #mtg #MTGAlter #wip

In these times of unprecedentedly stupid horror, I hope this bus with ridiculous exhaust I'm working on for Gaslands brings you some joy, as it has me. #Gaslands

I got home from adepticon late last night, and I'm very tired! It was a total blast, lots to mentally unpack and some fun pictures to share once my brain resets a bit. I'm very glad I took today off to recover and get my life into some order

Never posted these final photos of Gambit that I entered into The Worthy at adepticon! He didn't end up winning anything, which is perfectly fine given the level of competition! Still happy with him. He was also the only Gambit with a crop top, which is sort of a win in and of itself. Unfortunately because of time constraints I didn't get a chance to get feedback from the judges, which I was really sort of looking forward to. It's frustrating that many things at the con...

I already mentioned playing/teaching blood bowl (and in doing so convincing two friends to buy teams), but this year at adepticon I ended up doing a ton of gaming! Our crew welcomed in @roofuskit (once again, it was lovely to hang out) for a great game of Gaslands, even if nothing exploded at the right time! I finally got to try Space Gits, which is just as stupidly fun as I imagined when I first read the rules, even if I knocked over a two die tall tower ๐Ÿ˜† An excellent adventure in Kids on B...

So I've been reading the Tiffany Aching books with my daughter as her bedtime story, and I was loving them so much I grabbed a used copy of Mort to read myself. However, we finished the second Tiffany book, and I had ordered the next, but it's slow coming from eBay. So I guess instead of reading one of the many other more child oriented books, we're reading Mort for bedtime. She insisted.

The idea of fully painting a proxy magic deck has been bouncing around my head ever since getting interested in the game again. The Dan Dan deck seems like a good candidate, since secret lair stuff just seems like a scam, but the game idea itself is super fun. 80 cards is a lot to paint though, even if you take out the 20 islands. If I can figure out an easy way to duplicate a painted card, then it would just be painting all 23 unique cards. Project for another day though ๐Ÿ˜… . Need to finish up...

Should update on Gambit, just sort of plugging away and refining things, stepping back, getting annoyed at myself, refining more. Mind you, I am enjoying myself! Skin is maybe, mostly done? ๐Ÿ˜ #MiniaturePainting #mcp #CropTopGambit
