If you&#39;re an artist, artisan, craftsman, or maker who sometimes exports to the EU and does not yet have a solution for the EU&#39;s #GSPR regulation coming into effect on December 13, would you please tell me what you sell? Question for #Docker and #DevOps experts. I have a Dockerfile building an image which includes the creation of a user and a YAML building the container with variables from an .env. What&#39;s the best/standard way to set the user&#39;s password?

@diffrentcolours ClassicPress + MariaDB. ClassicPress is a fork before all the Gutenberg/Blocks silliness and ActivityPub group of plugins work as advertised. (Also makes themes easier.) You sound like you can handle the YAML but ask if you want help.

@siegeavecvue I&#39;ve been running WP and other things on Digital Ocean VMs for years. They&#39;re about $5/mo at the low end.

@siegeavecvue IMO fediverse integrations are kinda interesting but conecwith a cost which I can&#39;t say I&#39;ve found a benefit to offset. Yes, people can subscribe to it, get notified of posts, and reply. But the traffic cost is serious. Go minor viral and the Boosts alone feel like a DDOS. Lemme know if you find a winning use-case.
