In Hanhikivi, Finland, construction of VVER-1200 (AES-2006) has not started when project was abandoned after Russian invasion of Ukraine. In Belene, Bulgaria, project was cancelled in 2012 for economic reasons.

  Japan has restarted its 15th nuclear unit after Tohoku earthquake and tsunami and Fukushima disaster. It's a welcomed move that will help ease effects of limited fossil fuels supply from Persian Gulf. Before disaster NPPs supplied up to 30% of Japans electric energy.
