    Week 1 of classes - 4 class sessions, 27 total students (max 36), 6 of those first-time students, used 100 pounds of our House Blend stoneware (which is what all new students start with). Week 2 just wrapped and used just under 25 pounds - which is a much bigger drop than I was expecting!

    @KindlyWizard@strangeobject.space No, it&amp;#39;s that Week 1 is learning to throw / make pots, Week 2 is learning to trim (and then practice throwing after you&amp;#39;ve finished trimming). I expected it to drop somewhat, that&amp;#39;s just more than I anticipated. The best measure of skill increase that I have identified is the weight of pieces going into the kiln.     I needed a fence / wall for the studio shop that would provide a decent level of security, not require a permit (and that was a fun bit of research, let me tell you,) be easy to build without hiring contractors, *and* look reasonably good and cohesive. I also wanted to make it usable as a display backdrop for planters and wall decor. I think I did all right...
