  Just finished my first full playthrough on my new #PCgaming setup. In earlier posts I've talked about how and why I've switched from #PS5 and am using #HeroicGamesLancher with games from #GOG.   Trimmed down my #retrogaming library today. I'm a player, not a collector, so there's no purpose in having lots of ROMs that I don't really care about; it's just distracting more than anything. I also cleaned up a lot of my #RetroArch settings and configs.

  Over the years since I started social #transition and HRT, I've learned a lot about #hair. And the main thing I learned, that I wish I had learned quicker, was that my hair looks best *short*. Longer hair doesn't make me look more feminine, it just looks weird on me. I should have maybe realized this when looking at my cis female family members, and seeing that all of them have short or very short cuts.   It's stupid that a game like Curse of Monkey Island (which runs through #ScummVM) is only offered for Windows and Mac on #GOG and #Steam storefronts. Because.....ScummVM isn't exclusive to those platforms. So I have to let #Heroic or #Lutris install the game using Wine/Proton, and then run the game with the bundled copy of Windows ScummVM. I can copy the necessary files (Resources folder and three others) to another folder, and then add the game with my #Linux copy of ScummVM...

  I've uninstalled #Lutris and replaced it with #Heroic. What sucks though is that unlike Lutris and #Steam, Heroic doesn't bundle runtimes for older #Linux games, so now I have to run the Windows versions of those games through #Wine #Proton. And maybe it's just me, but running the Windows version of anything when there's already a Linux version irks me. I tried using #Distrobox containers to run those games, but I must be doing something wrong 'cause that...

  My Mom has been dead for all of 36 hours, and just now the landlord comes banging on the door and tells me they're going to change the locks in the next half hour(!) unless I produce my Power of Attorney paperwork right this second.
