Ok so I've gotten some good advice on my last post.....again, I've never built a #PC before, I have a strong preference for #AMD and I'll be running #Linux on it. Yeah I know prices are stupid rn, but how is this looking? #gaming

@not3ottersinacoat@mastodon.social Instead of a single 16 GB stick of RAM, you’ll want to go with a pair of 8 GB sticks. That will allow the ram to run at double data rate (hence the “DDR”), effectively doubling its speed. As for the rest of the build, I’m afraid I don’t know! I haven’t looked at hardware since I built my last system in 2022-ish, so I don’t know what is considered good anymore.
