Selbst Micro$oft empfiehlt inzwischen 14+ Zeichen.

Found out today that my mobile carrier blocks some stuff as soon as I try to stop using their DNS. Customer support did a very polite but firm "can't help you, go away" routine when I asked after trying to blame it on the apps (their own app is affected, so it was kinda funny). Unfortunately switching isn't really realistic, because all other carriers fall short in some aspect by comparison (and I also can't find any carrier that volunteers the info if they freely let you...

Can someone explain to me why a server that is perfectly viable for HA cluster use might instead be used in a cold standby setup? I don't see the reasoning, especially given that the server isn't truly offline (the shell is available) and there is a third server for quorum reasons anyway. This question is not rhetorical, please help me if I'm missing something.

Hey #DuckDuckFedi, I'm using #Sunup as #UnifiedPush service on my Android phone. A few days ago it started telling me that it's disconnected whenever I switch over to mobile data rather than WiFi. Search results aren't helping. It reliably starts working again as soon as I reconnect to WiFi. It reliably stops working the second I switch to mobile data. I have not changed any settings, there might have been a Sunup update at the start of this, but there are no patch notes indicating a...

It greatly annoys me that what feels like every meeting software that we use asks for location permissions. They don't need it, and having to explain to our less tech-literate users why software requests permissions that it doesn't need to work time and again does get repetitive quickly.

What are some of your favourite people on #PeerTube? Content of any kind (that isn't queerphobic, racist, fascist or AI-generated) welcome! Please add a warning if you're linking creators who also upload nsfw. I'm looking to broaden my pool of videos to watch that are not on YouTube. It doesn't matter (to me) if the people also upload their content to other platforms, the important thing is them being on PeerTube. #AskFedi
