https://meduza.io/en/news/2026/05/08/github-access-deteriorates-in-russia-as-internet-regulator-denies-blocking Lololol, you don't need government censorship to make GitHub unavailable. To my Russian friends: We've been getting the same issues, Putin isn't the cause this time.

If you are egging Trump on with "TACO" when he backed down from literally nuking a whole country, you are supporting the use of nuke, and the mass murder of millions of people. I'm going to report any TACO post I see, it's actually disgusting, racist, inhuman. I'm troubled that anyone would reproach Trump of not committing the most heinous crime. It's heinous he ever gave that threat in the first place, it's heinous to reproach him of...

Listening to a podcast about the tightening of unemployment benefits in France, and there is this phrase that comes to mind. In our society we have two liberties: * The liberty to find a job * The liberty to die of starvation.

Hello.

I don't usually comment on recent events. But it concerns me too. The problem with LLM usage is not inherent to LLMs, it's inherent to our current society. What people hear: * Humans are useless now that AI can do their job * Democracy should be abolished, because AI is so good at fooling people * AI is better than people at knowing what people want Toxic and preposterous lies! It's a trick to give even more power to people who already have too much.

I see LLM usage a bit like taking the plane. I find it morally repugnant and I'm not using it, because I can feel in my bones how bad it is for me and my peers, it's disgusting. But if someone else is using it, it's not a personal choice, they've been pressured into it by a society that pulls every trick to hides its downsides. Once I heard an ichthyology say that you don't solve overfishing with your belly, but with political change. I'm not go...
