Turns out this cable runs hot. Too hot. It&#39;s a USB-C to analogue audio converter. The black near the connector isn&#39;t supposed to be there, but meant to be hidden under the silvery coating that is visible on the rest of the plug. But it somewhat melted. And now it no longer functions (does not do a USB connection anymore). I replaced it with its sibling, which presumably shares the same design flaw.

Yesterday, we had the door to the backyard open, because of the warm weather. The cats like this. :) And in the evening, while it was dark, we heard some very excited happy sounds of the local urban foxes. And we found out that one of our shoes is now missing. Guess it became a toy for the foxes. Our backyard is home to a fox-baby and their fox-parent. We mostly stay out of it. But this morning we went and searched for our show. We did not find it. But we did find the baby-fox. :(

We&#39;re watching a very old television series, called Columbo. It&#39;s about a detective. It&#39;s very good. We noticed something. It has quiet. It turns off the background music, and lets the story do its thing. And it&#39;s so nice not having background music tell us how to feel. &lt;3

Our very cute cat has chosen to sleep in the location that we use our &#39;puter mouse. Which is a little inconvenient to us.

yay, my little rust caching library has all the infra in place to do background-refreshed \o/ still have to write actual refresh policies. but now we can. very content with the implementation.
