    Learned how to handle a semiautomatic handgun yesterday. I&#39;m not particularly interested in firearms, but my country is in trouble and I should know enough to use one and make it safe. Easier than I thought. At 25 feet I either hit what I aimed at, or went low and to the left. (The difference? I pulled rather than squeezed.) The good news? I got my zombie. Bad news? I also shot the hostage in the boob. Really hoping she had tactical implants.

    As a newly divorced writer, I have the freedom to I stop for ice cream whenever I want. This tiny town has more oddball art galleries than I&#39;ve seen anywhere. Quirky coffee shops galore. The indie creamery makes their own ice cream from scratch and even offers gelato for dogs. I stroll down the marina street, enjoying my cone, window shopping at yet another quirky gift shop, when a tiny logo catches my eye. This is a Hallmark Village.
