This is exactly the kind of dangerous OS-level UI hacking tool I would’ve installed back in the Windows XP/Vista/7 days. Was it a good idea to install some dubious tool that replaces things inside the explorer.exe just to achieve some fancy theme? No, not at all. Was it fun? Mastodon 4.6 will support alt text for the profile photo and banner. Is this the first social platform that allows something like this? I’ve never seen alt text for profile photos and banners implemented anywhere else.
