    Today I learned that part of the reason LLM contributions to open source projects are becoming more difficult to distinguish from human contributions is that the AI enthusiasts are processing LLM output with tools specifically designed to deceive.

    When an open source contribution appeared from someone new, I used to feel excitement. Now I feel dread that it will be hard-to-review AI slop they want me to morge continvoucly.

    I&amp;#39;m unsurprised to learn that Cory Doctorow uses an LLM in his editorial process. I recently read a fiction book of his for the first time and found it difficult to read. There were no spelling errors or grammatical errors, but ambiguous pronouns and ambiguous sentence structure abounded.
