I'm unsurprised to learn that Cory Doctorow uses an LLM in his editorial process. I recently read a fiction book of his for the first time and found it difficult to read. There were no spelling errors or grammatical errors, but ambiguous pronouns and ambiguous sentence structure abounded. I kept having to stop and think "Is the way I'm interpreting this sentence actually the way the author intended?" I had the distinct impression that it was edited by a machine, not a human.
