  It was a rough week so I spent some time to put together a fancy breakfast. It was nice to focus on this for a bit while I had my tea. Roasted sweet potato with homemade chili oil, caramelized banana with honey and cinnamon, homemade focaccia with ricotta and strawberry jam, hard boiled eggs with pickled onions, cherry tomatoes.

  I made a sourdough but used half milk as the liquid and added some sugar. After bulk fermentation, I spread it out and laminated it with cold butter, sugar, and cinnamon before rolling up into a boule. I think the layers sprouted out from where I scored the dough 😍

  Making mayak marinated eggs 🇰🇷🥚. Hard boiled eggs marinated in soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, sesame oil, sugar, chili flakes. I just need to get some scallions next time. The marinade tastes great, cant wait to try the eggs.

  I made an early breakfast because I was looking forward to enjoying these still jammy mayak marinated eggs. I had them with pickled onions and avocado. On the side is a pudding made with honey yogurt, silken tofu and chia seeds, topped with grapes.

  I prepped more pickled red onions, this time with cinnamon sticks and sichuan pepper corns. I got a mandoline which made things go super fast.

  I’m working on a new shawl, this is a shape I like working with often. A typical triangular shawl has 2 increases on each end and a set in the middle (4 increases), but this adds two more sets (8 increases) giving it the more circular shape. I’m hoping to make this into a more elaborate pattern but for now I’m enjoying all the garter stitch. #knitting #crafting

  I think I finally found a static to start doing endgame content. They want to do all the extremes and savages in order so I get to experience all the fights. We are starting with Shinryu Unreal. The best part is it’s a group of trans and nonbinary peeps that are all there to learn. I’m looking forward to making some friends and getting some mounts. I see the lowrider in my future 🔥. I’m going into the fights as a SCH which feels scary but also exciting 😅. #ffxiv

  @yesjohn the last time I played I dated a daddy, and I guess I didn’t realize this was a mechanic but he quite old I guess and died shortly after we got married. I was a devastated widow and haven’t played since 😭.

  It’s been a while but I’m revisiting one of my favorite books, Pedro Páramo by Juan Rulfo. It’s a shorter read but it’s a masterwork of magical realism that explores themes of Mexican identity and generational trauma. It’s the blueprint of the genre, Gabriel García Márquez (100 Years of Solitude) once said he could recite it front to back. I will be reading his book next.
