  How to ruin a possibly worthy initiative with bad behaviour: #GazaVerified @aral@mastodon.ar.al blocked me, so I respond here: If you had read my posts, you would know, that I said on various occasions throughout the thread that I basically trust your initiative, and that I have donated on four different occasions money to people mentioned on your site. Apparently this is wrong with me. Won't happen again. PS: Quotes are always much fairer than screenshots, but alas, as I'm blocke...

  @aral@mastodon.ar.al I am thinking: Providing a list of "Gaza verified" accounts, can, in my view, not be considered "Zionist lies", even if labelled "block list". It is foremost pure information - if the mentioned accounts weren't actually carrying the label, it would be a lie, otherwise not. Expressing the opinion that aptly crafted social media posts, unsolicited DMs and mentions through some/many/all of these accounts are spam, is valid and legal. 1/3...

  During the oil crisis in the 70s, there used to be car free Sundays. Today, in order to preserve our mental health and our capacity to interact properly with other human beings and physical objects, I propose a monthly Screen Free Sunday per month. Ich denke, es wird wohl der vermeintliche "Aufruf zu Straftaten" sein, als da wären - Sachbeschädigung (Sprühen) - Stalken und Doxxen von Faschos - Körperverletzung (Faschos ein Bein stellen) Oder seht ihr noch andere Sachen?   I wonder why everyone seems to hate the tags.pub bot so much. I mean: Until now, there was no way no get a notification if somebody posts something with a hashtag you're subscribed to.   Ich weiß manchmal nicht, ob Menschen in der Politik einfach nicht kommunizieren können oder schlicht weder Herz noch Hirn haben. Bund und Länder wollen 40% (!) beim #Wohngeld einzusparen (Summe 2 Mrd. = 1/3 Spahn) und die Ministerin von der #SPD, sagt "der Schritt sei für sie als Sozialdemokratin schmerzhaft".   Schon geil, wie das für die Bundesregierung mit der #Migrationswende läuft. Ich stolpere seit Wochen auf einer bekannten Videoplattform über immer mehr Beiträge von jungen Migrant*innen, die der BRD den Rücken kehren. Hat mich neugierig gemacht und dann bin ich auf eine Studie des Deutschen Instituts für Arbeitsmarktforschung gestoßen, und Tatsache: Ca. 300.000 planen aktuell konkret, das Land zu verlassen: Mehr Frauen als Männer und je höher das Einkommen und der Bildungsstand, 1/2

  Trotz Tag des heutigen Kampftages: Die #FreitagsTexterei ruht nicht und startet in die Runde #Ftx1826. Lasst euch vom Bild inspirieren, spitzt die Bleistifte, ölt die Tasten und schreibt hier als Antwort Gedichte, Geschichten, Erinnerungen, was auch immer. Die beiden Hashtags nicht vergessen und alles in einen Tröt (also bis 500 Zeichen) pressen. Zeit habt ihr bis Mittwoch 19:00 Uhr. Eine Einsendung wird ausgewählt und die Autor*in darf die nächste Runde ausrichten. Viel Spaß!

  I guess, everyone who knows it, loves the 2016 film "Hidden Figures". However, there's one scene that had me wondering since the first time I watched it. When Katherine Johnson makes the (by then) genius proposal to switch from an analytical to a numerical approach for calculating the re-entry, she speaks about Euler's method for calculating differential equations. However, in the 1960s Runge-Kutta methods with higher orders of convergence were already known....

  Erinnert sich noch jemand an das "Schöne Wochenende"-Ticket? Zuerst (1995) kostete es 15 Mark und bis zu fünf Personen konnten damit das ganze Wochenende Regionalzüge im ganzen Land benutzen. Das war ein Riesenerfolg, deshalb kostete es schnell das Doppelte, dann galt es nur noch an einem Tag und es wurde auch immer teurer (zuletzt 44€ + 6€ für jede mitfahrende Person) und wurde 2019 wegen geringer Nutzung abgeschafft.
