It really feels like Apple’s software quality is going downhill. Ever since iOS 26 a bunch of the little things that used to “just work”… don’t (random bluetooth audio device selection and strange podcast next episode behaviour being top of mind). My last few iPhones have been second-hand from family members and I’ll probably keep on doing that if I can, but between the decreasing quality, price, erosion of privacy, and intrusion of AI there’s no way I’m buying a brand new one.

Just watched the new People Make Games video on the Rockstar North union-busting trial. One thing Rockstar argued that seemed quite bleak to me was that an employee sharing that cruch was not occurring (yet) was information that competitors could use to determine GTA VI’s stage of development. Goes to show why a union is necessary when the presence of crunch is so expected in the game development lifecycle that it’s taken as a given in a court of law. Hope the devs get a healthy payout. #gamede...
