  Does any #mastoAdmin have documentation for Mastodon's OIDC integration? I know it can be enabled using environment variables, but is there a full list somewhere of all the options? I can't find anything in the docs. I am particularly interested in whether it's possible to 1) disable username/password authentication, and 2) configure auto-provision of accounts. Thanks!

  #php hot take: I don’t like the pipe operator. It looks great in carefully curated code sample, but in almost every actual production use case I find it much harder to read than the alternatives.

  Anyone got recommendations for a self hosted blog? Currently I’ve got my posts in markdown in a git repo together with some templates, and push this to omg.lol through their API. I’m after something that would replicate that ‘DX’ for me: Ideally I’d want to be able to run the whole thing in a Forgejo Action, and then only spit out static HTML/CSS.   @neil Actually, looking at the code, I think you do need to opt into this using EXPERIMENTAL_FEATURES=profile_redesign in the .env.production. But I'm not sure, as I also thought I read a while ago that they wanted to move away from feature flags, but can't find any reference elsewhere. FWIW, this is in the glitch flavour, so it's gonna be a setting somewhere - either feature flag or config somehwere else ...

  So, my kid did a thing: Built a shell script to deploy his #PHP #Laravel stuff on his VMs. He put a lot of time and effort into this, and I’m incredibly proud of what he has accomplished.   Can someone with experience in #proxmox or #virtualisation more generally help me wrap my head around how virtual processors work? With RAM it's all fairly obvious: If my host has x GB, once they are allocated to VMs they are gone. But processors obviously don't work like that. E.g. here in this interface I can choose up to 4 sockets and pretty much unlimited cores. The underlying hardware has 1 socket and 8 cores. Presumably that's also the maximum I should set for a VM, if I wan...

  My home feed is so full of spam lately it really isn’t fun anymore. Posts like these from random accounts from random instances. Sometimes dozens at a time. I’m not really sure what to do about it. I feel reporting is gonna be a waste of time, and muting/blocking at my end is too, as each user only sends a single root. Frustrating…
