  With the continued hype around AI coding tools at companies everywhere, I’m left wondering about one thing: 

 AI tools currently use the same languages and build tools that coders have used for the last decades. Meaning, if you cancel your AI subscription, you still have some degree of ownership about the code (practical ownership, legal problems aside).
