  Does anyone know why pypy3.11 is so utterly broken on windows-latest on GitHub Actions? (broken == pip install fails with an OSError? something about an incomplete read? while reading from a socket? while checking for newer pip versions in PyPI?)

  Anyway my FOSS project dashboard is all green again. I miss my laptop (still waiting for a replacement battery at the repair shop).

  Most painful Ubuntu upgrade ever, I think. 22.04 -> 24.04, with a somewhat custom full disk encryption. do-release-upgrade removed things like network-manager and all of the GUI bits before losing network connection and aborting partway through (I was doing this over ssh). Had to recover locally in text mode from /dev/tty2 over wired ethernet (wifi + WPA2 without nm-tui is outside of my experience), and then it failed to boot (no cryptsetup in the initramfs looks like).
