This is your regular reminder that the large tech companies are pretty evil. Also anyone wearing those glasses needs to have a good think about their lives and what they are doing. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c5y7yvgy0w6o

I've got the urge to make some Cyanotypes of my photos, mostly after watching someone making platinum palladium prints which is a more complex and expensive process.

Yay, getting home to two rolls of film back from the lab that look reasonably exposed. Boo, having things to do before I can get around to scanning them.

I've got to say I'm enjoying the images off the Ilford FP4+, I'm taking my time converting the scans I made. Looking down on the cottages at Traeth Morfa Nefyn in Wales on a hazy morning in March. ๐ท Pentax ME Super ๐๏ธ Ilford FP4+ #filmPhotography #Wales #BlackAndWhite

I'm quite liking the Kodak Pro-Image 100, has a cooler look than the Gold200 but quite curly when scanning. Anyhow as per the laws of photography here is Moore Street substation that every photographer is legally bound to take a photo of when visiting Sheffield ๐ #filmPhotography #sheffield

I've started sketching out an app I want to develop and as I want it to have Windows, Mac and Linux builds I was starting down the Electron route but then noticed Tauri. Given this apps usage, amount of data it sometimes processes and possible later uses of the code Rust might have some advantages. Anyone on here used both? #coding #rust #electron #tauri

This is your periodic reminder that the oil and gas in the north sea is not ours*, it was all sold off in the 80's and we even give tax breaks to the companies drilling for it. You can drill all you want, it will make 0% difference to the price at the pump but will make the energy companies billions. * unlike Norway who kept it nationalised and put profits a trust fund that as of June 2025, it had over US$1.9 trillion in assets, equal to 1.5% of the value of the world's listed c...

Slow start to the morning, mugs of tea, a bit of photo editing. I've dug the Sony body out and stuck an old East German CSJ 50mm lens on in case I go it later.

Seems one of my photos got into Flickr's Explore feed, which will explain the surprise number of views, favs, comments and of course invites to pretty much theme-less groups where people just slap each other on the back ๐

Now this was just a test shot from the roll of Gold 200 I put through the Praktica, some basic framing up and an extra stop as I was wanting to learn the metering, I wasn't taking notice of what was on the motorway. There's a slightly surprising thing in the shot, what's the chances of that. ๐ Item listed in ALT text. #filmPhotography

I think the Sony/Zeiss 24-70mm f/4 is going to be a possible trade in if needed in the future. It's a lovely lens but the OM-Systems 12-45mm f/4 does the same thing on the MFT camera at a fraction of the weight and without killing a battery in just over an hour.
