  It had been raining off and on all day and I very much hoped that if I cycled out for the fruit share the weather would change to "off". Reader, it did not So! Now I have cycled in actual rain not drizzle! And we have local blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, and apples. And I can stay home where it is dry for a bit. #BikeTooter

  It was cooler than I expected (wrong clothes alas) and I had to dodge the Ward 3 garbage collection folks but I had a nice ride :) It was good to be moving in spring. #BikeTooter

  Okay, wow, I really struggle to switch back to past tense for action when dialogue is in present tense, but I have finished a rough draft of a short story! This is the first thing I've finished in a long time, so it feels really good. #amwriting

  This week's writing was all over the map. I finished up a draft of the nonfiction piece. I wrote out to the end of a rough draft of a scifi short story. Today I managed a terrible first draft of a poem with a rather strict form (an ovillejo). Whew. #amwriting

  This week's writing was a lot of finishing up before I take a rest. (Excepting the nonfiction, which is circling in WAITING mode sigh.) I finished up a draft of the hard scifi story. I fleshed out two more parts of the CYOA pitch. And I revised the phlox/equinox rhyme back into the poem draft! #amwriting

  Mom and little one walk out of school as I come up sidewalk behind them. Mom: No, sweetie, bikes aren't good for the winter. Like sandals. Mama doesn't wear her sandals in the winter. Mom looks at me and down at my feet. I am wearing sandals. Mom: Those are my sandals. I have those exact ones! I just wish she'd told her kid it's okay to bike in the winter.
