Mom and little one walk out of school as I come up sidewalk behind them. Mom: No, sweetie, bikes aren't good for the winter. Like sandals. Mama doesn't wear her sandals in the winter. Mom looks at me and down at my feet. I am wearing sandals. Mom: Those are my sandals. I have those exact ones! I just wish she'd told her kid it's okay to bike in the winter.
