I've got to ask, like genuinely ask, is this seriously not general knowledge? 👇 > “When we pay creators to come up with highly engaging content, we create a system that rewards attention,” Diaz Ruiz says. “And we know that this attention is driven either by sensational content, but also by anxiety and fear.” https://www.france24.com/en/technology/20260602-lucrative-market-behind-viral-fake-news?utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=bluesky&utm_source=shorty&utm_...

Not long ago I got tired of Qwen3.6b-27b at q3 being weird at times and decided I wanted it at larger quant. I found this GPU at a ridiculous price in Bezosland, so went for it. Had to go through the complicated mess of compiling llama.cpp with "-DGGML_BACKEND_DL=ON" and other flags to ensure Rocm and CUDA both were loaded depending on card, so that my Nvidia 5060 with 16GB and that 9060 with 16GB operated as one uniform thing constrained by the speed of my PCIE 3x16 (my mobo...

    > the panel found that adopting AI is a ‘voluntary move’ by a company to stay competitive, and the risks of that technological shift should not be forced solely onto the employees HAHA! 😅 Imagine having less say over your working rights that even in China. http://m.timesofindia.com/articleshow/130678985.cms #AI #LLM

Reminder that you can hate the monarchy and every piece of undeserved privilege it stands for while also hating the monster the monarch was making fun of. It's not a binary choice, nor a football match, there're no teams. They both deserve to experience the joy of deciding between skipping lunch or skipping insuline.

Some random idea came to my mind and I can't shake it off now > Maikel, AI is like Macromedia Flash. It's going to be everywhere then magically vanish with no fanfare. At most it will improve boilerplating code, LSPs, machine translation and summarisation. That's all.

Translation: > We lost a humongous size of market share for forcing AI features down everybody's throats. It has been such a disaster our shareholders have lost confidence in us and AI clearly isn't the goldmine we were telling you it is, so ... we're backtracking before everybody moves to Unix/Linux because it we lose the OS battle we lose the system to install the rest of our crap. @berto@floss.social https://floss.social/@berto/116488716037855095

Wow this is the gift that keeps on giving. When he made Ruby on Rails he meant Ruby on Rails to Auschwitz right? Never in my life I would have thought I'd read Tommy Robinson brand of hatred and heartwarming in the same paragraph. It keeps getting worse. To the point it looks cartoonish yet it isn't. https://world.hey.com/dhh/as-i-remember-london-e7d38e64 #nazies #dhh

People, you know Macarena, the song, is a religious song, don't you? Genuinely asking. Los del Rio (the flamenco band who sing it) are from Seville where people are extremely catholic (hence their Semana Santa being 100 times bigger than Pride) and the virgin patron of the city is called: Macarena. People do cry when they see a bunch of wood in the shape of a religious virgin Barbie paraded across the street. They think of her as a living person. Hence...the song. They have more faith on...

It does work, eveyr time you mention, memorise this or remeber that, or "do you remember...." it goes and fetches it all from Qdrant or creates it. Israel with a diplomatic row with Spain over an effigy of Netanyahu burnt in a tiny town in Málaga. Wait until they learn about Cadiz carnival or La Mascletá in Valencia. That was nothing in comparison. Stay tuned for extra pics of what Valencia is preparing already. Spain is no country for overreaching politicians. We're masters at public displays of political criticism. Fighting that is like fighting Flamenco culture or Mediterranean diet. https://www.aljazeera.com/video/newsfeed/202...

First time I read this it was a man who said it, not a woman, let alone not just the picture but the actual person of the post is not even the same. But hey, would this have been viral if they used the original man who said it? Nope, why? No reply-guy would have boosted it. @beyondmachines1@infosec.exchange https://infosec.exchange/@beyondmachines1/116387660407026805

After quite a very long time alternating Elvanse and Medikinet, I took today a day off meds (ADHD ones) to remember what it was to be without them. It's night and day. Thoughts need to be repeated like ten times in my head to be able to form a full sentence above all the noise. No wonder it is exhausting. Now I also get why people laugh at their docs when they say "take a day off from time to time". This is TORTURE once you get used to your brain new OS. I'm...

Now the good part. 😁 I've gone from 99.9kgs to 93.1kgs already. Belly is flat. The semiglutide stops the TNFa defensive protein (one of the factors that causes HS) from triggering. Without Wegovy I'd be covered in cysts, and fistulas due to hidradenitis suppurativa stage 2, a chronic inflammatory condition that you should never search in Google images. Long to go to 80kgs but that's still progress. The less % body fat I have, the harder it is for my HS to trigger. Which is why...

Dear fediverse, I need a recommendation. I've got a PC that I need to be able to turn on/off remotely. I know about WOL packets since I was 12 (I'm 40 now), but setting them up seems ridiculous. I do wonder if in all THESE MANY years has nothing simpler been created? All it needs to do is to turn on/off my PC. If nothing exists to do this in a simple manner, I might use my free laptop just to send the WOL packet internally through Zerotier. But keeping an additional computer on...
