#Grog sighting! Here we see a pair of them, possibly hunting. They seem to have passed by this young lady over here. Let’s hope she hustles on her way before they spot her!

And here we see a fine and exciting example of an ancient antique water gun in wonderful condition. This is incredibly rare, folks-this is the kind of water gun you normally find in museums or in auction houses fetching bids in the thousands. It was even rumored that there was a water gun carried by Napoleon that sold for over a million dollars! Whose hands held this one? George Washington? Custer? Hannibal? Patton? I can’t wait to see what this one goes for!

Today’s #coffee pick: some recently acquired, semi-local German chocolate, #espresso ground on the spot. Lovely chocolate aroma from the bag. Into the machine it went. Not so much aroma while brewing, but still a little sweet and chocolaty. Flavored with a dash of chocolate macadamia nut syrup, packed with ice and topped off with the last of the white chocolate mocha creamer. Nice opportunity to bring out my green witches’ brew mug for spring. This has that lovely earthy taste I’ve talked ab...

Today’s #coffee pick: got into my stash for some Steep & Brew brand Buttercrunch Delight, said to offer a smooth buttery taste. I had an open sample size bag, and it was the perfect amount to top off my #espresso machine basket. So, in it went. Mildly sweet aroma while brewing. Flavored with a dash of butter pecan syrup, packed with ice and topped off with some HP inspired “butterbeer” creamer. Nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon watching Murder, She Wrote and writing about vampires....

JerGnome the Vampire Wizard and his coterie, NaGnomi the Spider Druid and GnoMark the WereBat (and whoever that is behind them) seem to be approaching me with a pretty serious demeanor. I wonder if they have something important to tell me. Maybe it has something to do with the equinox…

Today’s #coffee pick: Cameron’s brand Southern Toasted Pecan. A nice earthy, mildly sweet aroma from the bag. I just so happened to have some southern pecan flavored creamer and syrup, so this seemed fortuitous. Into the #espresso machine it went. Not much more aroma while brewing, but still nice and earthy and mildly sweet. I didn’t specifically get much southern pecan per se, but the syrup and creamer together more than made up for that. Delicious way to spend a Sunday afternoon bingeing lib...

The evening’s #coffee pick: given that I got a late start this evening, I went with decaf. I got into my stash for some Starbux brand House Blend, said to have cocoa and toffee notes. Not much aroma from the bag (no surprise, since I have no idea how long it’s been in my stash; I guess I need to start indulging in evening decaf more!). Into the #espresso machine it went. Slightly more aroma while brewing, some light chocolatey notes. Flavored with a dash of English toffee syrup, packed with...

Today’s #coffee pick: got into my stash for some Eight o’Clock brand hazelnut (mainly due to an unexpected excess of hazelnut creamer). Nice nutty, mildly sweet aroma from the bag. Into the #espresso machine it went. Less of an aroma while brewing, but still nice and mildly sweet. Flavored with a dash of hazelnut syrup, packed with ice and topped off with the first round of hazelnut creamer. I might need another round, if only to offset my excess creamer. Nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon...

Today’s #coffee pick: got into my stash for some Eight O’ Clock brand hazelnut, as I had some hazelnut creamer to use up. Little did I know how much trouble it would be. Okay, let me tell you. This lunch was an absolute mess. While my food baked in the toaster oven, I was making my coffee selection, and in so doing managed to knock over a bottle of butterscotch beer I was saving. And it went EVERYWHERE. All over my foot (thankfully I didn’t get hit by any glass), all over the floor, and goddamm...

Today’s #coffee pick: Steep & Brew brand Icing on the Cake, said to be buttery with a hint of cinnamon. An excuse to being out my brown sugar cinnamon syrup! Very sweet, sugary aroma from the bag. Into the #espresso machine it went. Less of an aroma while brewing, but still mildly sweet. Smaller mug means different proportions than usual. Less ice, less creamer (sugar cookie flavored), which still works fine. Very nice earthy taste to this one. Delish! Fine way to spend a Sunday afternoon/...

#Grog sighting in Elkhart today. They seem to be clustered together in the corner. Perhaps one of them has found something. Let’s see if we can get close enough to spot it.

@rbreich@masto.ai the modern-day veneration of the rich is reminiscent of the ancient Greeks' absolute worship of physical beauty, which still survives to this day.
