  @liw hi Lars, it seems the Finnish parliament is discussing its local implementation of the CRA: https://www.eduskunta.fi/SV/vaski/HallituksenEsitys/Sidor/RP_179+2025.aspx Notably, it appears fines are proposed for Open Source Stewards, where the CRA specifically exempted them. This raises two questions: 1) what past traumatic event may be the cause of this idea? 2) how would this not be in conflict with the CRA. Any chance you have (local friends that have) interest in the intersection of FOSS...

  So, turns out the @EUCommission consultation for an EU Open Digital Ecosystem Strategy was the 2nd most popular consultation in the history of DG CNECT. Happy reading @HennaVirkkunen and the folks at CNECT. Many of us in #FOSS are quite curious what you’ll come up with.

That is even before you consider any geopolitical angle. We’re lucky Microsoft’s cloud only does e-mail. Oh wait.

  The @EUCommission published draft guidance on the #CyberResilienceAct, including a detailed chapter on #FOSS. EC staff has worked on these and previous drafts for quite a while, and have been open for concerns/clarification from #opensource community members. If this topic interests you, be sure to have a look.
