&lt;someone&gt; I helped a family member with a problem with Microsoft office &lt;someone else&gt; use linux! use libreoffice! &lt;me&gt; better start designing your own silicon for a CPU for maximum inaccessibility. Don&#39;t get me wrong, Linux and Libreoffice are the way to go ... switching may not be as trivial for others as it is for you. I still see myself depend on WINE/VMs for a number of my smaller tools.

Vielleicht kann Frontex ja Timmie den Wal ja zum verrecken zurück ins Meer verschleppen. Mit Menschen ist das immerhin tausendfach erprobt.

The joys of modern software for old systems ... using XTIDE&#39;s serialdrive (booting a disk images via RS232) and mTCP&#39;s netdrive (hosting everything else at a much higher speed) I&#39;m now able to use this machine without any disk or hard drives. Next step: doing the same on a 286 class PS/2 computer.

Ah, the joys of real vs. emulated hardware. Trying to set up Doom2 via IPX ... real hardware finds both players, emulated one (DOSBox-X) can&#39;t find the real machine. 2 emulated machines on the same host work.
