  Just to answer many questions, the 'phone' page I've added to Lokjo is not affiliated, which means I'm not making money on 'clicks' in any way. I'm doing this simply to tell people there is an option to buy european phones. The map Lokjo is build in a volunteer way too, like many other people do, we care about progress and solving problems.   Just had a thought thingy: App-tabs. When people have a website and users would like to have it as an app, you can set a link on your mobile desktop, which opens a stand-alone browser tab, with the website in it, acting as an App. This would seperate it from the browser, you can clear cache, set priveliges etc only for that App-tab AND corporations can't take (most of) the data through the OS. #lokjo #idea #apps #EU #solutions

  Nice! From tomorrow on, a new European law forbids big corporations to throw unused clothing in the trash (overproduction) and obligates them to put them in discount or donation.   Testing is always exciting. With adding market-sellers to the maps I hope to support them for example on days like this, where Berlin is scheduled for 41°c.   Some new things on the map. GPS now needs to be switched on, instead of the automatic default when opening Lokjo. You can click the marker to turn it off again. There is now a (very gentle!) button coming up offering to switch to your browserlanguage, which dissapeares after 3 second. Supported languages are EN, FR, NL, DE and ES. And of course the usual bugfixes in the background. #lokjoupdates

  Following the Rollstuhlfahrer protest here in Berlin, I've listed a new option on the to-do list to make in the next few weeks, to show -if there is any info- if a place is accessible with wheelchair or not. You can already see with many places if they are accessible, partly or not, on the bottom of the popups/list, but this would make it far more easier. In order to stop this, and show what the fediverse is REALLY like, please ad the #EU or #Europe tag with some neutral or GOOD news, and show how european social media really is way better then the corporate american ones.   An interesting comment from a local shop owner in Berlin which I had a chat with. "During corona it showed people do have interest in supporting local shops. The conclusion -after calculating- is that if every person uses only 3 local shops to buy their things at, then local shops can survive.'   There's a few reasons why I build Lokjo. - I kept hearing shops in my area (Berlin) were bought up by corporates, given the choice to pay double/tripple rent or get out. - People do support local shops but they're hard to find with corporate googlemaps. - Most local shops have their own products for a NORMAL price, good quality, no slave-labour or dirty 'investments' behind it, just people doing what they love.
