From tomorrow on, a new European law forbids big corporations to throw unused clothing in the trash (overproduction) and obligates them to put them in discount or donation.
This makes you think of course 'why the heck was that legal in the first place?!' and the answer to that is -as always- 'lobbying'.
The EU is a strong place, and I just love what they come up with.

p.s. For the production of a normal white t-shirt the fabrication footprint is 2.700 liters of water, which is what a human uses in about 2,5 years. Please think before you buy a new one.
