Furthermore, OSSign has changed their certificate name from Cloudyne Systems (Scheibling Consulting AB) to OSSign (Scheibling Consulting AB) since the previous release of LibreWolf and WinUpdater. This might cause a warning for users updating via our WinUpdater. See https://codeberg.org/librewolf/winupdater/issues/71 for more details. #LibreWolf v150.0.1-1 is now available! https://codeberg.org/librewolf/bsys6/releases/tag/150.0.1-1 https://librewolf.net/installation/ No major changes from LibreWolf's end. Unfortunately, we had to rotate one of our signing subkeys, as it was, for a very short period of time, exposed in a CI log. The CI log was swiftly removed with the help of Codeberg, but however unlikely it is, we cannot guarantee that another party hadn't viewed the key within that timeframe. 1/5

As there seems to have been recent confusion about this, just a quick "official" toot to then pin: we haven't and won't support "generative AI" related stuff in LibreWolf. If you see some features like that (like Perplexity search recently, or the link preview feature now) it is solely because it "slipped through". As soon as we become aware of something like this / it gets reported to us, we will remove/disable it ASAP.

@Microplastics101 we don't audit the full codebase / (or rather: changes to the upstream codebase) on each release, as that would be more or less an impossible task. We still work on the assumption that upstream (Mozilla) code is, in general, benign, and not trying to hide exploits/backdoors/whatever, and that the things that _might_ slip through (like this) are not good, but not something opening up serious attack vectors, for example.

LibreWolf @librewolf #LibreWolf v146.0.1-1 is now available! https://codeberg.org/librewolf/bsys6/releases/tag/146.0.1-1 https://librewolf.net/installation/ Notable Changes: AI Link Preview functionality (which was already non-functional) is now more thoroughly disabled and hidden. LibreWolf is now built with `--enable-replace-malloc`, so manually replacing memalloc (with, for example, `hardened_malloc`, via `) is now possible. See https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/146.0.1/releasenote...

(this might be relevant to check for any downstream packagers) and managed to tackle a whole bunch of other long-open issues! [1/2]
