  OpenAI's hack of Hugging Face is a nice test to see which media outlets simply regurgitate OpenAI's PR articles (or copy the exaggerated interpretations!), and which ones actually think for themselves and do some digging.

  I only found conflicting reports and outdated numbers on the #CO2 emissions of LLMs. So I've made some estimations myself. I was hoping with newer numbers I could feel slightly less bad about my occasional #LLM use. But it's terrifyingly bad. Now I hope I've made a mistake, but the calculation is so simple, I don't see how I can very wrong.   Oooh yeah, I ran into a bug in #Safari where an element that was transitioned to zero opacity and `display: none` remained visible. And solved it by applying `will-change: opacity` First time I really need that one. Reading all your #css blog posts is paying off, is what I'm saying!
