  Wait until governments discover that a #vpn is really just a router with encrypted traffic on it. Anyone remember a crypto called #orchid? And what is onion skin routing anyway? #Tor is what? We think in VPN Companies, but #Tor is just a protocol.   Actually #hamradio related here along a few dimensions. The Mountainair New Mexico USA incident is prologue. This was a small town, but gathering in large numbers at say, #FIFA events susceptible to #drones will rapidly become untenable. Remote control by radio is a mass casualty threat. The amateur radio community will see spectrum closed to us in an attempt to prevent mass casualty attacks. Not to mention, what happens in a world war. We are not terrorists, but they will come for the hobby.

  I am a long time #green advocate of ceasing to use fossil fuels for energy, and a long time anti-war, anti imperialism type.   I am strongly opposed to Donald #Trump's illegal #iranwar, similarly opposed to the #Iranian theocracy. But there is a small glimmer of hope in all of this. Dependence on oil has long been a geopolitical liability. What is strength in the 21st century? Decentralized, diverse energy sources. Solar, geothermal, nuclear, hydroelectric... If ghouls in the gulf do massive damage to each other, they also reveal the deep disadvantage of oil in the long run and facilitate the transition to green...
