Every time I read/someone tells me that their partner is "very jealous and that's why they need those rules to feel safe but it's fine", I think about my first boyfriend (monogamous relationship), who described himself as very jealous and yet somehow never made up a single rule for me to follow or complained about the time I was spending with other people.
