    This Google Prompt API business is basically another G+, except instead of being embedded as a nuisance in a bunch of webapps you access remotely, this is malware in the much more traditional and close-to-home sense that it downloads directly to your system and then hogs your resources any time a website wants. I also worry if this 4GB turd will also be downloaded by new Chrome versions installed by automated testing tools like puppeteer or playwright...

    This seems to be pointing toward the sorts of things that Ed Zitron has been plainly stating for, oh I dunno, _years_ by now? Anyway, good, maybe more people will start noticing. Also love how this opens with Anthropic saying how they weren&amp;#39;t expecting their APIs to be hit as hard as OpenClaw is hitting them. Meanwhile, major genAI companies have no qualms constantly DoSing the rest of the entire internet with their nonconsensual scraping. Turns out they can dish it out but can&amp;#39...

    Sure is funny how &amp;quot;AI&amp;quot; companies will insist that ripping boatloads of copyrighted material without consent to fuel their bullshit generators is &amp;quot;fair use&amp;quot;, but putting up clones of their own source code that only leaked due to their own hilarious incompetence is somehow &amp;quot;copyright infringement&amp;quot; And what copyright is it infringing, exactly? Any of their code that was itself LLM-generated isn&amp;#39;t copyrightable in the US anyway.
