Last night, as #EMFCamp came to a close, I heard someone say that everyone, not just billionaires, should be able to "move fast and break things." I disagree. Not about taking power away from billionaires, but about the idea that we still need to move fast and break things at all. I have officially finished GooseVenture and have handed the files over to the #EMFCamp arcade team. In this text-based adventure game you play as Name Namesley, a low-level employee at SoftBank, as they go on a quest to work out why the company's eggs aren't multiplying. Along the way you meet a blue-haired man with many hats, the odd monster, and there's even a chance you'll find a creature of unknown yet mythical value. Enioy!

Ten years ago today I released an EP on Bandcamp called The Hardy Tree. It contains two original songs and three parodies - one smutty and two about how hopeful I was that 2017 would be a better year. That turned out well. The original songs were written when I was in my teens, and I'd finally got around to recording them. Finally solved the mystery as to why music would randomly start playing in my study at seemingly unconnected and random times of the day. The cat has worked out that by tapping the top of the speaker next to where he sleeps, it'll start playing on shuffle. He... he just wants to put some tunes on when he chills out on the armchair.

Just made a cup of tea. Got out a nice oat biscuit. Put both things on my desk ready for a nice break. Went to the bathroom. Came back to find my cat sat next to the cup of tea, crumbs everywhere, looking guilty. The biscuit is gone.

Shoutout to @leigh_hackspace, a member of which came along to my book launch last night, bought a copy for the hack space, and asked me to inscribe it for the community there. Naturally I wrote HACK THE PLANET. Hack spaces are such an essential community service - and will go a long way to helping keep us all in good repair when corporate infrastructure fails us.
