The downside of keeping xiv chat logs with crimes is being able to look back at my loot rolls. I&#39;ve averaged a 24 on the weapon coffer in M12S across five kills (one kill was when crimes were unavailable and is therefore unlogged). If it weren&#39;t for bad luck...

Just tried to get a taxi to 10. Person that joined said they could drive -- apparently not realizing your ability to queue into later floors resets every week. They could not in fact drive. (We did get a taxi eventually.)

Got SteamVR set up for the first time since I switched to Linux. We&#39;ll see how the warts are. Audio switch isn&#39;t automatic, at least not on my system with CachyOS. Fiddling required, but it does at least seem to be functional.

I played XI for a decade. Given who we met in the closing of EoV, it would have been really nice (and touching) for them to refer to us as our XI character, not as our XIV character, or at least acknowledge it. It doesn&#39;t take away from the ride, the nostalgia was fantastic, but I can&#39;t help but be disappointed they didn&#39;t cross-reference our SE accounts to do that.

What with the Manjaro Manifesto v2.0 (yes, really), flipped over to Bazzite on my main drive today. Mostly going well, the immutable concept is causing some grief. There&#39;s also a weird hitch in XIV any time I _release_ a mouse button that, the only way I&#39;ve found to resolve so far, is by using the software mouse cursor _shudders_.

Was chatting this over with @hexephre, but I think I want to see how Reaper feels this and next expac. I like melee dps, but my old thumbs can’t keep up with the 50 cpm that ninja and viper require.

So I&#39;m still rolling like garbage on the things I need for BiS... but is that the price for 1-shot reclears? (Okay Tyrant was a two-shot because WHM mis-counted ultimate weapons, but w/e.)

I didn&#39;t do reclears last night because ADHD-type insomnia hit and I&#39;d only gotten two hours of sleep. Today I&#39;m feeling like I won&#39;t do reclears purely from disinterest.

@gcvsa@mstdn.plus You have to go out of your way to auto-attack on casters. Hitting a weaponskill automatically toggles auto-attacks, but spells don't ^^;

@gcvsa@mstdn.plus (As an addendum / tangent, don't forget to try standard v. legacy controls on the General tab there. The community generally prefers "Legacy", but flip between them and see which you prefer - I know folks that have cleared the hardest content in the game that use "Standard".)
