Argh, just had two moments that reminded me while I both loved and hated Stellaris in the same play session. (Deets in thread.)

For context, first game I'd played in years. I was among the tech and econ leaders in the galaxy, but my military was... smol. Good moment: A militaristic empire with overwhelming fleet power decided it fancied about a third of my empire - wardec with it and its two allies that also had overwhelming fleet each. I fought them off with just a meat grinder of stations and econ dump of a defense - and the AI being scared to send their ships back in. XD
