Hang on. I bought this album yesterday on #BandcampFriday. Listened to it as I made breakfast, then opened the paper to find it's music from a five-star reviewed play in the West End. This is my catnip. #PhilipGlass #ClassicalMusic @classicalmusic@fedigroups.social https://philipglass.bandcamp.com/album/tao-of-glass

Anyway. Right to repair all well and good. But where is right to get the last bit of tomato ketchup out of the bottle? Who is doing anything about this problem?

Feel Noah Thain illustrates why the #MetroBankOneDayCup is important. He bats down the order when he gets a go in the Championship. Asked to open here in a younger team he has the chance to build an innings. Two hundreds this week. One to watch. #cricket

8.49 on a Saturday night. I'm at the #allotment. It's the sort of crazy lifestyle that fucked up Lemmy.

Am late to tonight's Prom. Looking forward to the Jessie Montgomery piece, with cellist Abel Selaocoe who seems to be good at everything he does. @classicalmusic@fedigroups.social #ClassicalMusic #BBCproms

I think Andy Burnham should build a high speed rail line between Manchester and London to make it easier to move to where the culture and jobs are.

I am afraid I am vibe coding to produce a #scouts training report from a messy spreadsheet. #CoPilot has decided there's a requirement to do a course called What Would a Woggle Do. #scoutingUK

An important story I think. Banks will become increasingly wary about lending to fossil fuel producers. The BoE here telling lenders that loans to coal producers are less likely to be repaid because technology could wipe those firms out. #NetZero #ClimateCrisis https://www.theguardian.com/business/2026/jul/19/bank-of-england-bonds-coal-loans-assets

The Night Aways Comes by Willy Vlautin gets the job done in 224 pages. There's a lot out there about fucked-up rich American families (Patchett, Tyler etc) but Vlautin writes well about those who are poor and fucked-up. Quite a lot happens. Perhaps too much. But I'm a fanboy. @bookstodon@fedigroups.social #bookstodon #KeefsReads

It was a great #BBCproms until they did Wonderwall. I'm now worried John Wilson and the Sinfonia of London are going to perform Sweet Caroline next week.

It should be easier to prove who we are. My wife can't get a workplace pension until she has her signature witnessed by a GP or a member of the clergy. I'm not convinced this prevents fraud. And don't doctors already have a lot on?

Although I listen to music for hours every day I'm embarrassingly devoid of knowledge when it comes to how it is made, time signatures, keys etc. And this. What are the implications of doing this? #harp

Wait. It's only £1.75 for the bus in London? It's bloomin' £3 here. Some low hanging fruit for Andy Burnham right there.
